Building Efficiency, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity, is helping our community grow stronger. Here at Building Efficiency we value our local community and are proud to provide our services to those most in need. Over the past year we have developed a close relationship with Habitat for Humanity and are excited to be part of their first project on the Peninsula.
7555 Mission St. in Daly City, is a community project that features 34 three-bedroom, two bath homes and two two-bedroom, two bath homes to low income families. All of the units in the three-story building are 1,100 square feet and include parking. Through an extensive application process all 36 units have been filled and are in the final stages of completion.
Building Efficiency’s team of trained professionals will be assisting 7555 Mission achieve its Energy Star certification. This will ensure that the building complies with today’s efficiency standards and will also help to secure national grant funding to help complete the project. In addition, B.E.’s Insulation and Heating & Cooling division has executed training exercises with the Habitat for Humanity building team, and will be conducting an insulation and duct leakage inspection at the completion of each phase. With the help of Building Efficiency the 7555 Mission St. Project will result in a Energy Star New Homes Certification!
We at Building Efficiency are extremely proud of this project and look forward to the day when members of our community can move into a new, comfortable, and efficient home.
